    A HUGE Disappointment, and a GIANT RIP-OFF!!!

I received the Haktoys HAK89 for Christmas from my nine-year-old son. And frankly, if he knew I was writing this, he would feel terrible. He intended this product to be a fun, meaningful gift for his father, who loves RC helicopters and toys. When I first opened the box, I found that the skids (landing gear) were broken. I wasn't terribly surprised, as they are very light and cheap feeling. Unfortunately, it's difficult to fly the helicopter without functioning skids. So, I contacted the seller to see if I could get a replacement. I was promptly told that my only option was to purchase replacement skids from their site for roughly $6 (10% of the total cost of the toy).In addition, the charge indicator lights on the charger only lit up the first time I charged a battery. After that, they stopped working, and after the socond charge, the charger itself stopped working. In summation, my son's hard-earned $60 bought a broken toy that only half-functioned... 1/5 Torrey Zimmerman (Minnesota) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) You have to accept the design and parts support shortcomings if you get this mode.

If you can accept the shortcomings of the design of the helicopter, it will operate fairly well. To begin with the instructions do not tell you how to install the battery. While its is supposed to be a plug and play, you have to dig the connector out of the nose fairing, hold it to one side, slide in the charged battery, and then put the connectors together. Unless you don't mind having the wiring and connectors hanging out, you have to squeeze them back into the nose faring by bending it near the battery to get enough room to work the connector into the fairing. After one semi-successful flight, a landing gear strut broke on landing. It is without a doubt the weakest piece of the helicopter. It is show separately on the parts list that comes with the helicopter, but you cannot order a new landing gear for this model. I finally came up with a way to fix the strut, but that didn't solve the buzzing around on the floor problem. After several unsuccessful attempts, I inspected... 3/5 stevem - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great INTERMEDIATE Helicopter for TEENS and above

This is a great flier and you can do lots of cool stunts with it -- but don't start with it. Buy a $20 Syma and get used to the basics before graduating to this one. The plastic seems lightweight but since it flexes when it crashes, it's actually very durable and resilient. The manual is not translated well, but here's the only thing you need to know about trim: If you have to move the stick in one particular direction to keep straight and level, just tap the trim button in that same direction until you can leave the stick centered. (Give it a couple seconds before trimming again so you don't over correct). The batteries are hard to connect to the heli until you get the hang of it, I had to fiddle with the charger forever to get the batteries to stay connected. Fortunately, customer service shipped a new charger for free and this one works just fine. Lastly: take good care of your batteries. Let them cool for five minutes after use before recharging them and don't... 4/5 Tad Kershner (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Works for the Helizone Firebird helicopter too

5/5 James Redel (Rochester, MN) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Slicktron TM Set of Four Replacement Tail Props (Qty 4) for Syma S107 (S105) Mini Indoor Co-Axial Metal Body Frame & Built-in Gyroscope RC Remote Controlled Helicopter (Toy) The tail rotors are probably the most fragile part of this helicopter, which is remarkably durable otherwise. Keeping tail rotors on hand isn't a bad idea. The ones I got from Storeshark are correct and don't reverse forward and back, it appears identical to the factory rotor, but I have a Helizone Firebird and not the actual Syma S107 (I don't think they're any different). The rotors are identical no matter which way you put it on, so putting it on upside down won't change anything. The ones I have are angled like a '/' and not a '\' when you look at them. Tail Props could be a little bigger, but is the right product.

This review is from: Slicktron TM Set of Four Replacement Tail Props (Qty 4) for Syma S107 (S105) Mini Indoor Co-Axial Metal Body Frame & Built-in Gyroscope RC Remote Controlled Helicopter (Toy) I bought these tail props for my new Syma S107 R/C helicopter. I haven't had the need to use them yet, since the heli is new, but they came in looking good in a little plastic ziplock bag inside another envelope. The shipping was really fast. They are the original stuff and look just like the one installed in my heli. The little blades should be a little bigger to help the heli get some more speed, though. I would recommend looking into that if you are looking for some more speed for your heli (there are bigger ones out there). This review is from: Slicktron TM Set of Four Replacement Tail Props (Qty 4) for Syma S107 (S105) Mini Indoor Co-Axial Metal Body Frame & Built-in Gyroscope RC Remote Controlled Helicopter (Toy) By far the best price for a set of rear rotors. For those how have one of these, you know this is the first thing to break on them.Surprisingly mine came with no spares,Others were asking for way too much money, but this was simply the best price and also value for tail rotors.I even got 5 so I am super pleased. The MJX F45 is well constructed and works great. Loads of fun!

I'm a licensed pilot with some heli time, but had never flown an R/C fixed-wing or heli previously. Before I purchased the F45, I bought a little 3-channel heli with counter-rotating (coaxial# rotors. It worked ok and was simple to fly, but was really just a toy. Its controls and performance had no semblance to that of a real heli, so I gave it to a neighbor kid. I then purchased the F45 assuming that, with my flying experience, I could master a more serious model heli with little difficulty. I was wrong. Learning to fly the F45 has been quite a challenge - but loads of fun. Some observations:1. Most importantly, the F45 came out of the box without a single physical or functional defect - an amazing accomplishment, considering its mechanical and electronic complexity.2. The instructions are written in the fractured English that used to come with imported Japanese and Taiwanese cameras from the 60's, which limits their usefulness. Fluently bilingual... 5/5 TechWrite - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I'm a licensed pilot with some heli time, but had never flown an R/C fixed-wing or heli previously. This is my favorite copter. Purchased this after flying a V911

This is my favorite copter. Purchased this after flying a V911. Was looking at this and the V913 and decided to get the MJX because of the built in functions to add the camera. Plus I had been reading reviews where people were swapping out the V913 main motor for the MJX. That sort of told me something. Afterwards I bought the V912 and see it lacks power as well, so I feel confident that I went with the MJX instead of the V913.Now about the flying. This thing is fast. Yea, really fast. If your going from a V911 to this realize this thing is bigger and heavier and you know what they say. The bigger they are the harder they fall (and break). When I got mine I charged it up and rushed outside. Thinking I was flying my V911 I just wen crazy flying and found out real quick this baby needs allot more space to fly. When turning on the V911 there hardly is any drifting but with something this size you do get drifting. Thus the need for more space.Well it took me a... 5/5 Abraham Sanfiorenzo (Elizabeth, NJ United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This is my favorite copter. It's more than you're paying for

Customer Video Review Length:: 4:41 MinsThis is my 3rd heli ever. I'm been slowly teaching myself to fly so I can shoot aerial video. I'm a videographer by trade. So, all my heli purchases are based off my end game, which is to fly a DSLR. The MJX F45, for me, is a solid step in that direction. I was easily able to mount a GoPro to the front and relocate the battery for stable, balanced flight. The F45 lifts the additional weight of the GoPro without the housing (slightly less than the stock battery) without problem. I can still easily control the heli, even in a slight breeze. I have been able to fly the F45 higher than I should given my skill level. I've learned a ton with this heli. It's my first 4ch and first single blade. I've crashed it an embarrassing about of times and it's bounced back with very little damage. It even survived a huge fall shown in the video, with a camera attached, and still took to the air afterward (although it now flies horribly and needs repair)... 5/5 Twelvizm (Portland, Oregon) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?), November 26, 2012

The quality for the price looked okay. The factory packaging is very poor where the back of the remote is located in the box. From my personal experience and others, the switch on the back of the remote arrives broken (no protection). The remote seemed small and cheap but for the price that's to be expected. I returned this helicopter and ordered a different one. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 18, 2016
